Enrollment Steps
Your assigned student ID number and Community College e-mail address are noted on your acceptance letter. You will need this information to establish your myCommNet and Student Office 365 E-mail account. It is imperative that you set up both accounts to receive important information regarding your progress.
You will need your initial Net ID and Password to establish your account. Your initial Net ID and Password format is available at myCommNet.
Net ID Format
Username: Student ID (without the “@”)
Domain: @student.commnet.edu
Example: A student with a BannerID of @87654321, will have the following NetID: 87654321@student.commnet.edu
Password Format
- First three characters of birth month (with first letter capitalized)
- Ampersand character – &
- Last 4 digits of Social Security Number
So, for a user with a birth date on 10/24/79 and a social security number of 123-45-6789, then the initial password would be: Oct&6789
We encourage all students to complete the online free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the TRCC school code “009765” to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
To apply for financial aid, create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID at Log In | Federal Student Aid. Your FSA ID is your user name and password used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information. After completing your FSA ID, you can complete the financial aid application at: www.studentaid.gov.
Important information about your financial aid will be sent to your student e-mail and myCommNet accounts.*

Meet with an Advisor
Before you can register, you must schedule an appointment with an advisor. Beginning April 2022, go to www.threefdn.wpenginepowered.com/appointments to choose a date and time to meet with an advisor in person, on the phone, or virtually, or visit our Information Desk at the Clock Tower entrance to make an appointment.
To contact the Advising Office email advising@threefdn.wpenginepowered.com using your college-issued student email account and include your name, phone number and your Three Rivers’ Student ID number.
Course Placement
All incoming transfer students will be assessed for math and English skills using their High School transcript, College transcript, SAT scores and/or ACT scores (if available). Please bring a copy of your in-progress or final college and/or high school transcript to the advising meeting, because these documents help advisers assist students in selecting appropriate courses. Transfer and Readmitted students may have already fulfilled math and english requirements. Students who have graduated high school over 5 years ago or would like to schedule an Accuplacer Placement test to assess their course placement, can discuss with their advisor.
Apply Outside Credit
After students register for their initial semester at TRCC, degree-seeking transfer students should have their official college transcripts sent to the Registrar’s Office for an official transfer credit evaluation and to add these classes to their TRCC transcript. Learn more here.
Planning for your classes
Readmitted Students should check out Degree Works! It’s a web-based tool to monitor your progress toward degree completion.
To help you plan your classes, review the Course Descriptions and Schedules
