Spanish Studies, A.A. – CSCU Pathway Transfer Degree
This program is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in the area of Spanish language and culture. The coursework within this program will provide you with an understanding of the principles of the Spanish language, and will develop the four basic skills of language learning: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
Your learning experience will be contextualized in a cultural context through an array of activities. You will be able to cultivate a vast knowledge of the Spanish-speaking world’s linguistic diversity through comprehension of Spanish in a variety of situations, and a multitude of regional and social variations.
This approach encourages interest and appreciation of Hispanic culture, promotes global awareness and critical thinking, and fosters connections between language, culture, and communication. Upon completion of this program you will be able to transfer seamlessly to colleges within the Connecticut College State University system, being guaranteed full junior status in your pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in the same discipline, without losing any credits or being required to take extra credits upon transfer.
